Honcharuk: Salaries of government officials will be linked to average wage in the country

On February 4, during a meeting in the President’s Office, Prime Minister Oleksii Honcharuk announced that the salary of the minister, deputy minister, and other senior officials will be linked to the average wage in the country. This was reported by the press service of the Head of State.

“We agreed that the salary of the minister, deputy minister, and other senior officials will be linked to the average wage in the country. The salaries of ministers and their deputies will be in range from three to five average wages. And it is necessary to stop paying 200-400% bonuses – the maximum bonus will not exceed one salary,” Honcharuk said.

The Prime Minister emphasized that all information on the salaries of the Cabinet’s leadership will be public and will be published on the monthly basis.

Honcharuk also noted that the government decided to apply to the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine to refrain from paying large bonuses to the management of this company and consider their reduction.

President Volodymyr Zelensky endorsed the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to limit wages and bonuses to the heads of executive bodies.
