Honored Doctor of Ukraine Iryna Mykychak appointed First Deputy Minister of Health

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Iryna Mykychak as First Deputy Minister of Health.

The government made the corresponding decision on Wednesday, March 18, at a meeting.

The Ministry of Health noted that Iryna Mykychak is an Honored Doctor of Ukraine. She was born in Lviv in 1961. She is a pediatrician. From April 2017 to December 2019, Mykychak headed the Department of Health of the Lviv Regional State Administration.

She also was the coordinator of a number of successful international cooperation projects with the World Bank, WHO, the US Agency for International Development, UNICEF and other projects in the field of perinatal care reform, family medicine, cancer prevention and public health.
