The Minister of Culture of Ukraine Yevhen Nyshchuk proposes to introduce the position of city designer in the settlements. This is reported by Informator news agency.
«I believe in each city should be a special city designer position. This person will create both the brand and the appearance of the metropolis, and make sure that the buildings do not harm the environment; so that all construction companies to have a concept on how they will work with the environment in some particular place,» said Nyshchuk.
Such an innovation would solve the issue of chaotic urban development, which is still actual nowadays.
As The Journalist reported, in the historic districts of Ukrainian cities it was allowed to design only underground parking lots.
