The Ukrainian activists picketed the Russian Embassy in Warsaw. People demanded the release of Ukrainian sailors, as Ukrinform reports.

The activists said that the deadline for the implementation of the decision of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea regarding the release of the Ukrainian sailors by Russia had expired the day before, but nothing had chaged. In this regard, they decided to recall this.

“And besides, to make the Poles interested in that matter, the issues of Ukrainian political prisoners and the war in Ukraine in general, which is going on until now, which has not ended, but which started to be forgotten”, said Nataliia Panchenko, the leader of the Warsaw Euromaidan.

In addition, by such action the activists intended to demonstrate that the families of the Ukrainian sailors and of other political prisoners were not alone, and that in many countries in the world people protest in the streets against illegal holding of the Ukrainians in Russia.

The participants of the action held the Ukrainian flags, as well as posters in Ukrainian, Russian, Polish and English, in particular: “Freedom to Sailors”, “Stop Russian Aggression”, “Russia is sponsor of international terrorism responsible for the disaster MN17”, “Russia , give our people back. “

Earlier The Journalist reported that Ukrainians were demanding from the Council of Europe Russia’s not returning to the PACE.
