Foreign companies may produce of natural gas in Ukraine

American and other foreign energy companies can participate in the production of the natural gas in Ukraine. This was announced by US Advisor of American President for National Security John Bolton at the meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in Kyiv on August 24, DT.ua news agency reports.

«There are also resources that are produced here in Ukraine, which produce the natural gas in the volumes, as far as I understand, sufficient to meet Ukraine’s domestic needs in natural gas. Perhaps, US companies, other foreign energy companies will see an attraction in the exploration and production of the gas in Ukraine,» – the report said.

At the same time, Bolton stressed the need for Ukraine to seek alternative energy resources in order not to depend on Russia.
As The Journalist reported earlier, Ukrnafta suspended oil production because of the refusal of Ukrzaliznytsia to supply them with railroad tanks.
