Iran calls on parties to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to ensure civilians rights

Iran appealed to Azerbaijan and Armenia to respect the rights of civilians trapped in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, IRNA agency reports.

The Iranian Embassy in Baku has addressed Azerbaijan and Armenia with a corresponding statement in which it called on the parties to respect international humanitarian law, condemn violations of the rights of innocent people, destruction and damage to civilian objects.

Recall that Armenia and Azerbaijan resumed hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh on the morning of September 27, mutually accusing each other of shelling the border territories.
