The Iranian parliament expressed support for the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), which took full responsibility for the downing of the Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) aircraft near Tehran.

According to En.mehrnews, closed emergency meeting of parliamentarians was held in Iran on the eve of January 12.

“This mistake caused a huge loss, but it should not be a reason to forget about the self-sacrifice of the IRGC, which has always defended our country,” Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani said.

The speaker also expressed special thanks to Major General IRGC.

“The IRGC has accomplished the gigantic task of attacking U.S. military bases in response to the assassination of Lieutenant General Suleimani by U.S. terrorist forces, and the Iranian parliament is not ready to harm the spirit of the IRGC’s courage,” Larijani emphasized.

Recall that on January 8 the UIA PS752 flight with 167 passengers and 9 crew members onboard was blown up in the sky near the Imam Khomeini airport in Tehran.

On January 11, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani officially admitted that the Ukrainian airliner was shot down “as a result of human error, unintentional action” and promised to hold accountable those responsible for the downing of the plane. The commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, claimed responsibility for the downing of a Ukrainian plane.

As The Journalist reported, Ukraine receives from United States data on UIA plane crash in Tehran.
