Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the government dedicates the future settlement in the Golan Heights to US President Donald Trump – “Trump Heights” (Ramat Trump), Haaretz reported.
“We’re going to establish a new community, something that hasn’t happened in many years, and in honor of President Donald Trump,” said Netanyahu.
According to the PM Netanyahu, establishing the community constitutes a gesture of respect for American president’s actions on recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan.
In turn, Trump thanked Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the honor.
“Thank you PM and the State of Israel for this great honor!” Trump wrote on his Twitter account.
