It is impossible to break railway communication with Russia due to transit routes – Groisman

As of today, Ukraine cannot stop railway communication with Russia over transit obligations with the European Union.

This was announced by the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman on the Ukraine TV channel.

“We cannot stop at a moment’s notice the communication between Ukraine and Russia, including by rail, when there are goods transit shipments to the European Union, and we have international obligations to the EU: we simply cannot stop it,” the head of government said.

According to Groisman, “the limitation of air links with Russia will be in effect until Russia withdraws from Ukraine’s territory.”

Recall, the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelian said that Kyiv is going to stop the railway communication with the Russian Federation.
