Italy’s central Lazio region imposes nighttime curfew

Italy’s Lazio region, Rome imposed a night curfew in hopes of containing the coronavirus epidemic, Evropeyskaya Pravda reports, citing Corriere Della Sera.

Starting from October 23, citizens will be prohibited from being on the street from midnight to 5 am. The restrictions valid for one month.

First of all, those who travel to or from work at this time, as well as in case of urgent circumstances, will have the right to an exception.

At the same time, popular meeting places will be closed already from 6 pm – either completely, or restrict access. Also, from next week, schools should transfer 50% of students to distance learning, with the priority of teaching in the classroom for graduates; universities – 75% of students.
