UNICEF: Every fourth child in Ukraine was subjected to moral violence

About 24% of children became victims of bullying in schools in Ukraine during 2017. This is reported by the United Nations International Children’s Emergency (UNICEF) in its «Daily Lesson: Stop Violence in Schools», 112.Ukraine news agency reported.

According to the UNICEF, girls feel psychological pressure more often, while boys are more often subjected to physical violence and threats. It is stressed that more than a third of students aged 13 to 15 years have experienced bullying.

«Every second pupil or student aged from 13 to 15, which is about 150 million children in the world, reported that they have been subjected to violence from their peers at schools or near schools … 40% of the children who suffered, did not tell anyone about it,» – said in the statement.

The Foundation was called upon to stop violence at schools, in particular, by introducing of the legislation and policy necessary for protection of the students [from violence].
As The Journalist reported earlier, the psychologist told about the specifics of communication in adolescence, in particular, why the society of young people is harassing (bullying) and how to act in such situations.
