Due to violation of territorial integrity of Ukraine, the EU extends sanctions against Russia

The Council of the European Union decided to extend the anti-Russian sanctions, imposed due to violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine. This is reported by press center of Council.

This is about further extension of individual restrictive measures against individuals, close to the Head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and Russian organizations.

«The measures include freezing assets and travel restrictions,» – the Council said in a statement.

It is specified that restrictive measures have affected 44 organizations and 155 individuals.

Note that the sanctions will last until March 15, 2019 with a possible extension.

As The Journalist reported earlier, US President signed an executive decision on sanctions for interference in the elections.
