Holidays in Chernihiv schools to be postponed due to presidential elections

Chernihiv City Council recommended to postpone spring holidays in school due to the presidential elections which will be held on March 31. This informs the site of the Chernihiv City Council.

“Due to the fact that Chernihiv schools will accommodate majority of polling stations on March 31, the spring holidays are recommended to be postponed. Education Department of the Chernihiv City Council determined optimal period for this year’s holidays from March 28 to April 2," said in a statement.

It is noted that the Council’s order is of advisory nature, but the order on holidays is issued by the director of each school.
Traditionally, spring break lasted from March 25 to March 31.
As The Journalist reported, 231 educational institutions in the Lviv oblast were closed due to the influenza and measles epidemic.
