The Japanese government will support national producers who are developing kinds of plastic that dissolves in the ocean. About this writes NHKWorld-Japan.

The report notes that due to the problem of ocean pollution by waste in the form of plastic products, private companies in Japan, Germany and Italy have begun work on the creation of biodegradable types of plastics.

“Thanks to, in particular, enzymes produced by oceanic microorganisms, these new forms of plastic decompose into water and carbon dioxide,” it says.

In turn, the Japanese government intends to work with companies to develop international standards for these new biodegradable plastics.

Previously, the “Journalist” reported that a deep debris station would be opened in Vinnitsa.
