Journalist Yulia Mendel became press secretary to the president.

The team of Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the journalist Yulia Mendel won the competition for the post of presidential press secretary. This was reported on the Facebook page of the presidential team.

“Julia Mendel won the competition and became the press secretary of Zelensky,” the report says.

Julia Mendel is known to study journalism in Kyiv, take part in a journalist training at Yale University in the United States; she worked for the ICTV, Espresso and Inter TV channels. For several years, the journalist has been collaborating with The New York Times. She wrote reports for Ukrainian Forbes and American Politico.
