In total 27 stationary air quality monitoring stations will be installed in Kyiv. This was reported by the deputy chairman of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Panteleev, the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration reports.

“We plan to establish a network of 27 reference stationary stations for a comprehensive assessment of air quality in the capital. After all, the one that existed so far is outdated, ineffective and does not examine the content of all necessary substances in the air. A mobile laboratory will also work if it becomes necessary to monitor the state of air at a specific location,” Petro Panteleev said.

He added that the experts have created a Concept for the implementation and maintenance of an atmospheric air quality monitoring system based on the recommendations of the European Parliament directives on atmospheric air quality and cleaner air for Europe.

The air quality assessment stations will start operating in 2020 in Darnitsky and Dniprovsky administrative districts.

As The Journalist reported, MP from Servant of the People Party told when mayoral elections in Kyiv to be hold.
