In the vicinity of the settlement Preobrazhenka (Kherson Oblast), border guards recorded two cases of air pollution caused by chemical emissions from the Crimean plant Titan.

«I am now at the administrative border with the temporarily occupied Crimea, at the Kalanchak checkpoint. Border guards have repeatedly fixed air pollution with chemical emissions from the Titan plant over the past few days. Today, we recorded two such cases in the vicinity of the village of Preobrazhenka,» – said Ivan Shevtsov, the Head of the press service of the Kherson border guard detachment, in a commentary to the 112 Ukraine television channel.

At the same time the border guard noted that there are no threats to life and health of people.

«There are no threats to life and health of citizens and border guards; the wind does not blow to the mainland part of Ukraine. Citizens freely pass passport control. There are no problematic issues right now,» – said Shevtsov. «We ensured the impossibility of the disease of our servicemen. We removed border patrols from the dangerous places of service to the most secure section of the administrative border. We have notified the local self-government bodies, the State Emergency Service, and the environmental service.»

As The Journalist reported earlier, Plant Titan was stopped in the occupied Crimea.
