The head of the The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO), Nazar Kholodnytsky, said that almost 30 deputies from almost all factions were supposed to be involved in criminal cases of illegal enrichment, but now this is impossible due to the abolition of this article by the Constitutional Court.

According to Kholodnytsky, over the years of work of the NABU and the SAPO, 106 criminal proceedings were instituted on the grounds of the crime envisaged for illegal enrichment. 37 productions were closed, 4 were sent to court, and 65 are still under investigation.

Kholodnytsky noted at the Right to Power talk show aired on 1+1 TV channel, that the first proceedings on this article were sent to court in April 2016 – this was the case of the former military prosecutor of the ATO, Konstantin Kulik. The case is being heard in court for almost 3 years, and last year only 3 meetings were held, said the head of the SAPO.

Last production, which was sent to the court last week, concerned the Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan. There is also the case of the Chairman of the State Service of Justice and the case of the judge of one of the courts of the Luhansk oblast, who managed to “buy two elite apartments in Kharkiv”.

Also, according to Kholodnytsky, anti-corruption authorities were ready to complete the investigation of the case of the former chairman of the State Fiscal Service Miroslav Prodan.

Also persons involved in the case of illegal enrichment were to become ministers, their deputies and the heads of the oblast state administrations.
