Kyiv is in rating of the snowiest cities in Europe

Kyiv ranked sixth in the ranking of the snowiest cities in Europe. About this informs Der Standard.

It is reported that the rating was compiled by Holidu, a renowned holiday accommodation site, in collaboration with Worldweatheronline.
The methodology for compiling the list is based on the analyzed data of the average monthly number of snowy days during December-March (in 2009–2017). Total counted 372 European cities.
It is noted that in Kyiv from December to March there is an average of 13 snowy days per month. In connection with these indicators, Kiev is located on the sixth position in the ranking.
In turn, cities with 17 snowy days of each winter month hit the top five. In particular, Helsinki (Finland), Tallinn (Estonia), Vilnius (Lithuania), Turku (Finland), Oslo (Norway). On the seventh place is the city of Kaunas (Lithuania).
In addition, it is noted that for tourists Kyiv is an inexpensive city.
