The official representative of the US Department of State, Heather Nauert, said that the «sonic attacks» was conducting on employees of the American embassy. This is reported by «Popular Mechanics».
«A medical team had been sent to Guangzhou, in southern China, to conduct screenings of all US government employees and family members who asked for them», — The US State Department spokesperson said.
Two employees of US embassy in Guangzhou (China) were evacuated back to the United States after the alleged «sonic attacks».
Earlier a single government employee had reported «subtle and vague, but abnormal, sensations of sound and pressure». The States sent doctors to examine the staff of the diplomatic mission. The State Department turned to the Chinese side for help in the investigation, but the Chinese authorities said they hadn’t yet found the source of the «sonic influence».
Recall, in 2017, the State Department stated that two dozen employees of the US Embassy in Havana were subjected to an «acoustic attack» using special devices. The State Department issued a warning on September 29 listing such symptoms as hearing loss, headache, weakness, and bad sleep. Havana stated that there was no evidence of such effects on American diplomats in Cuba.
