Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko has said that number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the capital of Ukraine reached 8,131, up 199 new cases on previous day. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration.
“In the past day, another 199 residents of Kyiv tested positive for the coronavirus. This became the highest number of the new cases since epidemic started. As of today, the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the city is 8,131,” Klitschko said.
Klitschko associated such a number of patients with the outbreak of coronavirus in the dormitory of the Institute of Special Communication and Information Protection of the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
Some 19 people were hospitalized in the capital’s hospitals, others are being treated at home under the supervision of health workers.
