Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Nariman Dzhelyalov has stated that the occupational authorities of the Crimea peninsula are discussing ways to put pressure on lawyers who protect Ukrainian prisoners of war.

He wrote about this on Facebook.

“There are 35 lawyers in the team who protect Ukrainian sailors: 13 lawyers from the Crimea and 18 from Moscow. Three more backup. Obviously, the Russian authorities and their Crimean subordinates did not expect that residents of the Crimea, including Crimean lawyers, would stand up for to defend Ukrainian sailors. I am sure that Crimean leadership perceived this fact almost as a personal insult, another sabotage of propaganda pictures of universal consent and well-being in the Crimea,” wrote Dzhelyalov.

He also noted that the occupying authorities of the Crimea “are sorting out options in order to make obstruct to the Crimean lawyers and force them to come to the conclusion that defending the Ukrainian sailors is a bad idea”.

According to Dzhelyalov, he doesn’t know whether the instructions came from Moscow or “the Crimean comrades are nervous”.

As The Journalist reported, Poltorak said that Russia organized provocation in the Kerch Strait so that we to start shooting.
