Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba took part in an economic forum with the participation of representatives of Portuguese business and the Secretary of State for Trade, Services and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Economy and Digitalization of Portugal, João Torres, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports.
“I understand that some companies need support when they consider new markets. You can rely on the full help and assistance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine,” the minister addressed the forum participants.
Kuleba spoke about economic reforms in Ukraine and three key opportunities that Ukraine today can provide to Portuguese business and investors.
The first is large-scale privatization. The Minister spoke about the open and competitive tender procedure: “I invite you to take part in the large-scale privatization in Ukraine.”
According to Kuleba, the second opportunity is digitalization. He noted the efforts of Portugal in this area and told about the modern experience of Ukraine in the development of the digital state.
“Ukraine today – is thousands of experienced engineers and IT specialists and high-quality products, in particular, the Diya platform. Portugal may be interested in it, and indeed the possibilities for digital cooperation are huge,” the minister said.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister named the aerospace industry as the third opportunity. Given the interest in space, which is now growing everywhere, in particular in Portugal, and Ukraine’s technology.
Finally, the Foreign Minister expressed his conviction that Ukraine and Portugal have great potential not only in bilateral trade, but also in successful joint entry into the markets of third countries.
