The mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko reported 130 new cases of coronavirus, two fatalities on August 24.
He noted that in total, the coronavirus claimed 172 lives of Kyiv residents.
Kyiv reported 12,153 confirmed coronavirus cases since pandemic started.
Among those who got infected on previous day are:
- 72 women aged 19 to 75;
- 50 men aged 18 to 81;
- 2 girls aged 6 and 14, and 6 boys aged from 8 to 17.
Some 23 patients were hospitalized. The rest are staying on self-isolation, under the supervision of doctors.
At least 27 patients recovered in a day bringing the total to 3,853.
The highest number of new cases was recorded in Obolonskyi district (24), Desnyansky and Dniprovsky districts (20 each). In Darnytsky and Sviatoshynsky (15 each).
