In the fall of 1932, the communist government launched a special punitive operation – a massive artificial famine. As a result of the deliberate creation of conditions incompatible with life, millions of people died in Ukraine in a few months of 1932-1933. Unfortunately, the dire circumstances of the crime and the deliberate prohibition of keeping mortality statistics make it impossible to establish the exact number of victims. According to some estimates, more than 7 million Ukrainians have been tortured by hunger.
