Law enforcement officers find 36 Russian ground-to-air missiles for Pechora AA missile systems in Odesa oblast

Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko today, on March 27, during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, said that Ukrainian law enforcers have found 36 Russian ground-to-air missiles for the Pechora anti-aircraft missile systems at a seaport in Odesa region. According to him, there was an attempt to smuggle them to Eritrea, 112.Ukraine informs.

Chief Military Prosecutor Anatolii Matios and Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko appealed to the government with a request to transfer the found missiles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“On the basis of arrest the mentioned property, ammunition and missile system is proposed to be passed to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by sending a letter to the establishment on the necessity of such weapons for our army. I would like to stress that if the Government accepts this proposal, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive a modern man-portable air defence system,” said Matios.

As The Journalist reported, the Prosecutor General called the number of law enforcement officers prosecuted for corruption.
