Lithuanian Seimas recognized deportation of Crimean Tatar people by Stralin’s regime in 1944 as genocide.

This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Linas Linkevicius.

“The Lithuanian parliament adopted a resolution that declares that the mass deportation of Crimean Tatars 75 years ago was an act of genocide, committed by the totalitarian Stalinist regime,” Linkevičius stressed.

The Minister added that Lithuania will continue to defend the rights of Crimean Tatars in Russian-occupied Crimea.

As reported by The Journalist, Parubiy called on Kenya’s parliament to recognize the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as an act of genocide against the Ukrainian people.
