Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Norway to Ukraine Ole Terje Horpestad and members of the Norwegian Council for Refugees Affairs came there to inspect the operation of Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint. This was reported by the press service of the Joint Forces Operation HQ on its Facebook page.
The delegation visited the only Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint, working in Luhansk oblast. Representatives of the delegation studied the order of crossing the division line, the level of passenger flow and other specifics of this checkpoint.
“The situation in the humanitarian corridor over the division line in Donbas was discribed by Serhiy Sokolovsky, the first deputy head of Lysychansk border guard unit,” the report says.
In turn, Sokolovsky noted that thanks to international cooperation, the checkpoint was reconstructed; that allowed increasing the number of jobs for improvement of passport control quality and speed up the entry-exit operations, thereby reducing queues at the checkpoints.
