French President Emmanuel Macron promised to rebuild Notre Dame Cathedral ‘within five years’.
Macron said this during a nationwide televised address to the French people, France 24 reports.
The leader of the French state called on citizens to change this disaster into an opportunity to come together.
“We will rebuild the cathedral of Notre-Dame and make it even more beautiful than before and I want this to be completed within five years, – emphasized Macron. – It is up to us to turn this catastrophe into an opportunity to come together, to clearly show who we are and who we want to be, and become better than we are now. Finding the basis for our national project depends on us.”
As The Journalist reported, Bernard Arno will allocate EUR 200 million for the restoration of the Notre Dame Cathedral.
