Maduro does not rule out civil war in Venezuela

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro does not rule out the possibility that a civil war in the country. He told about this in an interview with a Spanish television channel, DW reports.

“Everything depends on the level of madness and aggressiveness of the northern empire and its Western allies,” Maduro said.

Maduro urged other states do not interfere the internal affairs of the country.
Recall that presidential elections were held in Venezuela in May, 2018. The opposition stated on numerous violations during the voting, but on January 10, Maduro took the oath of office of the president. Venezuelan parliament declared Maduro a usurper. Protests began in the country, and the President of the National Assembly of Venezuela, Juan Guaido, was declared as interim president. Many countries, including the United States and some EU countries, have recognized Guaido legitimate.
