Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU) and Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epifaniy has consecrated the Pokrovsky temple in Malyn, Zhytomyr Oblast.
Epifaniy consecrated the throne and the new church in honor of the feast of the Protection of the Holy Virgin.
“Another temple forms the basis of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church, which our ancestors have dreamed about for centuries. The Lord acts in our lives, and the manifestation of this is the emergence of this beautiful house of God,” Epifaniy said.
He also presented church awards to the patrons and philanthropists of the church.
As The Journalist reported, Ukraine Orthodox Church’s only temple in occupied Crimea plundered and destroyed.
