Chernivtsi International Airport was named after first Ukrainian spaceman

The Chernivtsi International Airport was named after the First Spaceman of independent Ukraine, Leonid Kadeniuk. This is reported by the press service of the Chernivtsi City Council.

At the City Council session it was decided to name municipal enterprise after Leonid Kadeniuk. From now on the airport will be called Chernivtsi International Airport named after Leonid Kadeniuk. Corresponding amendments will be introducted to the regulations of the enterprise. The authorized capital of the enterprise is approved in the amount of more than UAH 86.6 million.
Recall, the first Ukrainian cosmonaut Leonid Kadenyuk died on January 31, 2018 rom a heart attack while jogging in the park Tsarskoe Selo. He was 67.
As The Journalist reported, the street in Uman was renamed in honor of Rabi Nahman, before the celebration of the Jewish New Year.
