Militants resorted to mortars to shell Horikhove and Krymske on Jan 14

On January 14, the illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire regime ten times. This was reported by the press center of the JFO headquarters.

“The enemy fired on Ukrainian positions from the 122 mm artillery systems prohibited by the Minsk agreements, 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, as well as from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms,” the message reads.

In the zone of responsibility of the Skhid [East] tactical group , the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions four times: near Novotroitske and Marjinka from small arms; near the village of Nivelske from heavy machine guns; near Shyrokine from hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

In the zone of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] tactical group , Russian occupation forces attacked six times: near Luhanske from easel anti-tank grenade launchers; near Horikhove from 122mm artillery systems (8 shells), from 120 mm mortars (28 shells), from 82-mm mortars (8 shells), and automatic grenade launchers; near Krymske from 82 mm mortar (8 shells) and heavy machine guns; near Novoluhanske from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and small arms.

As The Journalist reported, Militants launched 30 mortar shells on Ukrainian AF positions near Horikhove.
