Militants used mortars to shell Ukrainian troops in Donbas

The militants attacked Ukrainian army positions seven times over the past day in Donbas, using heavy mortars banned by the Minsk agreements. This was reported by the press center of the Joint Forces headquarters.

The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, as well as grenade launchers of various types, machine guns and small arms. The enemy shellings were recorded near Avdiivka in the direction of the village of Kashtanove. The enemy also attacked Starohnativka and Krasnohorivka settlements.

Under the enemy fire came JF fortified positions near Krymske and Novotoshkivske – the militants fired 8 shells from 120mm mortars here, and near Luhanske the Russian proxies fired 14 shells from 82mm mortar.

On April 21, Ukrainian army units eliminated two enemy mercenaries.
