On January 2, the militants attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) four times. This was reported by the press center of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) headquarters.
Militants resorted to grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms to attack AFU positions.
In the zone of responsibility of the Skhid [East] tactical group, the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions two times: near Novotroitske from grenade launchers of various systems and small arms; Mykolaivka from an easel anti-tank grenade launcher and small arms.
In the zone of responsibility of the Pivnich [North] tactical group, Russian occupation forces attacked 2 times: near Horikhove from a grenade launcher; Novoluhanske from grenade launchers of various systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms.
No casualties among the Ukrainian troops have been reported over the past day.
JFO: 619 enemy troops were killed in action in Donbas over 2019.
