Minimum pension, subsistence minimum grow in Ukraine in December

This is stated in the law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2019.

Subsistence minimum in Ukraine amounts to UAH 2,102 for the able-bodied citizens, when earlier it was set at UAH 2,007. For disabled persons, subsistence wage stands at UAH 1,638, for children under 6 years of age – at UAH 1,779 against UAH1 ,699 and UAH 2,218 for children aged 6 to 18 years against UAH 2,118.

The minimum pension was also increased by UAH 74 to UAH 1,638. This is the second increase this year. From July 1, it had been increased by UAH 67, up to UAH 1,564. Thus, the minimum pension this year will have increased by 9%, which should exceed the planned inflation rate (7.4%).

The size of the maximum pension also increased by UAH 740, up to UAH 16,380. Also, the maximum unemployment benefit increased to UAH 8,408, Ukrinform reports.

At the same time, social benefits were raised as well. The minimum amount of alimony for children under six years old has grown from UAH 849.5 to UAH 889.5, and for children aged 6 to 18 years old – from UAH 1,059 to UAH 1109.
