Two skiers fell from the lift at the ski resort Drahobrat due to a malfunction of the seat, and the staff did not provide them with timely assistance. This writes Anna Samorodova on her Facebook page.
The incident occurred on January 2, the injured Anna Samorodova wrote in social networks that for 15–20 m after the start of the climb, the ski-stand had broken off from the seat, which had fallen along with her and another passenger of the lift.
In particular, Nadiia Tsybyenko, the administrator of the Vershyna Karpat resort complex, stated that “everything is all right on the elevator, they got hooked, turned around and fell out. They sat in the seat, so they could not fall out of the structure. The chair held them. They leaned and unhooked the structure themselves. Together with his skis, which were attached and hung below."
The administration also noted that tourists planned their actions in advance. Because, looking through the surveillance camera, they noticed strange actions of young people who allegedly planned to jump out of the lift.
