Implementation of transport strategy, approved by the Government, to cost USD 60 bln in Ukraine

The implementation of the transport strategy until 2030, which this year was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, will cost about USD 60 billion, said the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Volodymyr Omelyan.

«According to our preliminary calculations, the total budget for the implementing of this strategy until 2030 will cost about USD 60 billion,» – Omelyan said.

The Minister of Infrastructure noted that more than half of the funds are provided by the Road Fund, Ukrzaliznytsia budget, Sea Ports Administration and other departments.

«We plan to attract the other part of the funds through direct foreign private investments, as well as through public-private partnerships, concessions, and loans,» – Omelyan said.
