Today, at 7:30, power unit No. 3 was disconnected from the network at the Zaporizhzhia NPP.
“At the moment, 5 power units are in operation at Zaporizhzhia NPP. The total capacity of the generators is 4390 MW. There are no remarks to the operation of the main equipment of the existing power units and personnel,” reports the press service Energoatom.
The ministry added that the radiation background in the area of the Zaporozhia NPP and in the sanitary protection zone (the area around the nuclear power plant with a radius of 2.5 km) is 8-12 micro roentgens per hour, which corresponds to the natural radiation background.
