On February 1, NAEC Energoatom and the French company Wärtsilä France have agreed on the supply of spare parts (amounted at UAH 80 million) for diesel generators of the South-Ukrainian NPP.

According to the press service of Energoatom, the President of NAEC Yuriy Nedashkovskiy noted that negotiations on cooperation began after a meeting with reps of the company at the World Nuclear Exhibition in Le Bourget (France).

“The signed agreement is an outstanding milestone in the work of our company in the Eastern European market,” said Michael Kubbing, director of nuclear services for Wärtsilä France.

The contract was signed following the results of the auction for the supply of 1,954 spare parts valued at UAH 239.1 million, which was announced on September 7, 2018, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

Another auction for the supply of the same parts in amount of 1,111 units was announced on June 4, 2018 with an expected value of UAH 192.8 million.
