NAPC: Officials entered inaccurate data in declaration totals UAH 8.6 bln

National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC), according to the results of carried out complete inspections of declarations, has established that officials indicated false information in their declarations totaling over UAH 8.6 billion.

This is reported on the NAPC website.

During 2017-2018, 273 substantiated conclusions were drawn up in the field of financial control, 99 of which related to declaring of inaccurate information, 5 to illegal enrichment, 169 to deliberate failure to submit declarations.

In accordance with the law, in 2018 were sent next reasonable conclusions:
40 conclusions to NABU,
178 to the National Police,
36 to the prosecuting authorities.

Also, 356 protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up and sent to the court:
22 declaring inaccurate information,
179 about late submission of the declaration,
155 about violation of the procedure for notification of material changes in property status.

“It should be noted that, in accordance with the law, the NAPC has no investigation functions or rights to be a subject of the judicial process and it is not a punitive body. Legislation is entrusted to the NAPC the mission of preventing corruption, formation a culture of integrity to society and zero tolerance towards manifestations of corruption,” the department said.
