National Bank to issue a silver UAH 1000 bill

On May 20, 2020, the National Bank of Ukraine issues a souvenir silver banknote with a face value of UAH 1,000 in 2019. This was reported by the NBU press service.

The banknote is made of 999.9 silver, with a circulation of 300 pieces.

The banknote depicts a portrait of Volodymyr Vernadsky and the building of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the reverse side.

First, the banknote will be sold through electronic auctions on the Universal Commodity Exchange “House of Contract UICE”, and souvenir silver banknotes not sold at electronic auctions will be sold through existing NBU’s sale channels of numismatic products.
