NATO Allied ships enter Black Sea

A group of the NATO Permanent Mine Action Group ships entered the Black Sea. This was reported by the head of the Institute for Strategic Black Sea Studies Andrii Klimenko on his Facebook page.

“On July 07, 2020 at about 12:00 p.m. (Kyiv time) the ships of the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group Two, SNMCMG2″ entered the Black Sea,” Klimenko wrote.

According to him, Turkish minesweeper TCG Amasra (M 266), Spanish – ESPS Tambre (M 33), Italian – ITS Gaeta (5554) and the group’s flagship –  Greek Navy supply ship HS Aliakmon (A-470) – entered the Black Sea.
