UPDATE: On November 13, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine chose a preventive measure against the former head of the National Bank of Ukraine in Kyiv and the region, Mykola Kalensky.

Judge Vera Mykhailenko read out the court decision – to send the suspect under round-the-clock house arrest.

“To apply a preventive measure towards the suspected Mykola Kalensky in the form of round-the-clock house arrest,” the judge said, noting that the court partially granted the NABU prosecutor’s request.

The court ordered Kalensky to arrive at the call of the prosecutor, to refrain from communicating with other defendants in the case, to submit documents for traveling abroad and to wear tracking bracelet.

The court decision is subject to immediate execution and is valid until January 12, 2020 inclusive, but can be appealed.

Tomorrow, on November 14, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court will hold a hearing at 9:30 in the case of misusing stabilization loan issued to VAB Bank regarding the election of a preventive measure to Oleksandr Pysaruk, who served as the first deputy governor of the National Bank during the bankruptcy of VAB Bank in 2014.

This was reported by First Deputy Governor of the National Bank Kateryna Rozhkova.

Rozhkova emphasized that the NBU board is ready to take Pysaruk, as well as the other former employees of the regulator, accused in this case, on bail, because it is confident in their honesty and impeccable reputation.
