The Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine, Yakiv Smoliy, in his declarations in 2015, 2016 and 2017 has entered false data totals UAH 18.3 million.
This was reported by the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NAPC).
Basing on the results of full checks of declarations, NAPC has revealed signs of declaring inaccurate information in the amount of more than 250 living wages. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the National Police were notified of the identified signs of criminal offenses.
NAPС found signs of declaring false information by the head of the National Bank, Smoliy, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Anatoliy Korzun and former First Deputy Chairman of the State Fisheries Agency Volodymyr Faliy.
Smoliy has provided inaccurate information regarding the value at the acquisition date of the share of three non-residential premises, the interest income accrued to him and his wife and did not indicate the information on whether his wife had corporate rights. In addition, he did not display information on a number of land plots owned by him, and the funds placed by him and his wife on bank accounts.
“The total amount of false information declared for 2015, 2016 and 2017 is more than UAH 8.5 million, UAH 6.6 million and more than UAH 3.2 million, respectively,” the NAPC noted.
Deputy Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Anatoliy Korzun in his declaration for 2016 has provided inaccurate information about his house in Kyiv, and has not declare his wife’s income received in the form of an inheritance. The total amount of false information in the declaration totals UAH 450,000.
At the same time, Faliy in his declaration for 2016, did not indicate information about his financial obligation to the bank. The total amount of false information in the declaration for 2016 is more than UAH 1.8 million.
The National Agency informed NABU about the revealed violations, sending reasonable conclusions.
