Prime Minister of the State of Israel Netanyahu said that the Free Trade Area Agreement (FTA) with Ukraine will be ratified after early elections to the Knesset on September 17.

This was announced by the Israeli Prime Minister at a joint press conference with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Israeli Prime Minister emphasized that it is important “to start work on the Free Trade Agreement immediately”, which “will be ratified right after the parliamentary elections.”

Netanyahu noted the importance of expanding the agreement to attract investment in the service sector, in particular in high technology.

The Israeli Prime Minister announced his intention to open high-tech development offices in Kyiv and Jerusalem.

“The Israeli side is not just seeking to exchange technologies and attract Ukrainians to the high-tech field in Israel, but wants to see attracting investment in the high-tech field,” the statement reads.

At the same time, Zelensky announced that he had reached an agreement with the Israeli Prime Minister to begin work on expanding the Agreement on a free trade zone between two states.

“We discussed our trade and economic relations. Israel remains Ukraine’s key trading partner in the Middle East region,” the President of Ukraine said.

To Zelensky, the total trade between Ukraine and Israel exceeds USD 1 billion.

As The Journalist reported, Zelensky calls on Israel to recognize Holodomor as genocide of Ukrainian people.
