Netherlands to build data centers at Ukrainian nuclear power plants

Energoatom signed a memorandum of cooperation with Bitfury Holding, Netherlands company, which proposes the construction of data centers on the territories of Ukrainian nuclear power plants. This was reported by the press service of Energoatom.

According to the head of the company, Petr Kotin, data centers constructed on the territories of nuclear power plants will allow to solve one of the most pressing problems of the industry – limiting the supply of electricity from nuclear power plants.

Expected volume of electricity consumption by new data centers can reach 2GW.

It is noted that the sides worked on agreement for several months.
