Near Rivne, excavations are being carried out on the site, where the Paleolithic site was 15 thousand years ago. The work is carried out by Ukrainian and German scientists. About this informs TV channel UA: Rivne.
It is reported that near Rivne in the tract Barmatske archaeologists have discovered a settlement of primitive people, whose age is almost 15 thousand years.
It is noted that, as a result of the research, tools from flint were found, armament items in the form of a pointed point, with the help of which people of that time hunted representatives of the fauna. Also found waste products of stone products and decoration items in the form of shells, which at that time sewed on clothes.
Archaeological excavations are held under the guidance of the Director of the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Viktor Chabaia.
Excavations will continue until the end of August this year, but this territory will continue to be investigated for two years. Regarding archaeological finds, they will be studied in the laboratory of the Institute of Archeology in Kyiv, and afterwards, transferred to the funds and exposition in the Rivne Local History Museum.
