The Parliament of North Macedonia has approved a new coalition led by Social Democrats, Radio Liberty reports.

A vote, which took place on 30 August, returns Zoran Zaev to the post of prime minister after his party narrowly defeated right-wing rivals in July.

The coalition includes the ruling party, the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia, and the largest political force, which is the ethnic Albanian minority.

The new coalition has 62 out of 120 votes in parliament.

Opposition MPs left parliament after voting and did not take part in the oath ceremony.
