President Volodymyr Zelensky met with CEO of Orascom Investment Holding, Naguib Onsi Sawiris. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.

President Zelensky thanked the Egyptian businessman for his interest in Ukraine.

“I heard you have been interested in investment opportunities in Ukraine for several years, but did not venture [to start work – ed.]. Now is a very good time,” Zelensky said.

The President also spoke about the Ukrainian parliament and the new Government, about the main priorities in the work.

According to the president, it is now extremely important to carry out structural reforms aimed at attracting investment in the economy.

“We started the privatization process from ourselves – the first enterprises that were transferred for privatization were precisely the enterprises under the President’s Office. These include interesting objects for real estate investment, in particular Ukraine and Dnipro hotels. Since there are a number of very successful tourism and hotel business projects in your portfolio, I would like to invite you to participate in privatization competitions. You may also be interested in tourist sites all over Ukraine,” the President said.

Zelensky also suggested that the businessman consider investing in the banking sector of Ukraine.

As The Journalist reported, Zelensky invites Japanese Marubeni Corporation to invest in Ukraine.
